Witness Representation

Has someone contacted you about testifying in court?  Did you receive a summons (also called a subpoena) or do you expect to receive one?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you have rights.  Depending on the situation, you may not have to testify.  In some cases, testifying could get you in trouble. 

 

That is why it is wise to have an attorney explain your rights to you and to advocate for you when you are witness.
